President Tang Boming Leading a Delegation Visited Africa
PresidentTang Boming with a delegation of CQJTU paid a visit to Madagascar and Beninfrom 25th July to 1st August, 2019, attended the Joint Conference of ConfuciusInstitutes in Some Countries (Regions) in Africa 2019 and the series activitiesfor 10th anniversary of Confucius Institute of University at Abomey-Calavi inBenin and Chongqing Jiaotong University and met the Presidents of Africanuniversities, Peng Jingtao, Chinese ambassador to Benin, Yang Xiaorong, Chineseambassador to Madagascar, Yu Yunfeng, deputy director general of Confuciusinstitute headquarters. This visit finished with fruitful results such as thesigning of cooperation agreements between CQJTU and CRBC and CHEC. Some otherofficial staffs were in the delegation.
President Tang and hisentourage first attended the Joint Conference of the Confucius Institutes inSome Countries in Africa 2019 held in Antananarivo, Madagascar. He gave a briefintroduction about CQJTU and our Confucius Institute at Abomey-Calavi in Beninto the attendants from governmental departments of Madagascar and otherrepresentatives including ambassadors of
China in Africa.

President Tang participatedin celebrating activities of 10th anniversary of the foundation of ConfuciusInstitute at Abomey-Calavi in Benin in which Ambassador Peng and some otherrelative officials took part as well. He spoke highly of the great achievementsmade by institute and received a certification from the president of Universityof Abomey-Calavi that showed our university’s extraordinary contribution toconstruction of cultural exchange.
During the visit,Ambassador Peng met with President Tang and the delegation at the ambassador'sresidence. He gave a high praise to the accomplishment our university achieved after President Tang’s introduction. A few all-roundagreements were signed by CQJUT and relative enterprises.
PresidentTang conveyed greetings to teachers and staffs in Confucius Institute in Benin,had affable talking with them and expressed thanks to their contributions.
